I know about the money thing. I am still fighting SSA because they think I
own them 24,000 dollars from back in the mid 80's. All I have been able to
get information wise out of them is my original paper work and that, "How
are you going to pay it back". So the fight goes on.

I'm really sorry to hear about all your misfortunes. I didn't know dogs
could get Lyme--my mom had it a couple of years ago and was treated with
massive antibiotic IV's every day for a month. It was quite an ordeal, but
the progression of the disease was halted. And I'm also sorry about your
financial loss. I'm in the middle of a financial debacle myself at the
moment. It's very tragic to see an elderly friend lose the ability to care
for him/her self. I have 3 living grandparents and several close friends who
are older, and I dread this happening to any of them.
I had a really bad day yesterday too, though not nearly as bad as yours. If
I were you, I'd definitely break out the ice cream.
I hope tomorrow is better.
