I will not be able to scan "If I die Before I Wake" by Jean Little.
According to my library there is one copy in Kentucky, but multiple copies in
libraries in Canada. So if you live in Canada, and want to scan a wish list
book try this one!

The only work around I'm aware of is to change the number of items per
page to 25; even then it takes a while for the pages to load.
Also, one can change the way the check out list is arranged by date, by
title, by author. For some, one of these arrangements helps to move between
books more quickly.

Hi Christina,

Use the smallest number of results per page. Even then it takes forever
and
a day to load the next page of results, but at least it will load, most of
the time. Also, changing the sort order won't speed up the page loads, but
you'll at least get a different set of results when starting out.

Hope that helps some. It is a huge pain in the neck, I agree.

Using the various sort orders with the number of results set at 100 should
place most titles on the first page at one time or another. Remember that
when you choose a different sort that clicking the link for that sort
again
will give it to you in reverse order. After you try each one both forwards
and backwards there might be a few that will not appear on the first page
in
any of those sort orders, but most of them should in at least one of them.

Hi all,

I've just submitted to the checkout list "The "S" Word: A Short History of
an American Tradition... Socialism" by John Nichols.

It's been read through w/errors corrected; headers stripped; page
numbers/chapter titles present/protected; text and headings formatted. 307
pages.

Description:
A few months before the 2010 midterms, Newt Gingrich described the
socialist
infiltration of American government and media as "even more disturbing than
the threats from foreign terrorists." John Nichols offers an unapologetic
retort to the return of red-baiting in American political life--arguing
that
socialism has a long, proud, American history. Tom Paine was enamored of
early socialists, Horace Greeley employed Karl Marx as a correspondent, and
Helen Keller was an avowed socialist. The "S" Word gives Americans back a
crucial aspect of their past and makes a forthright case for socialist
ideas
today.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Submitted/nonfiction

The "S" Word gives Americans back a
crucial aspect of their past and makes a forthright case for socialist
ideas
today.
