[bksvol-discuss] Re: bibliographies

I have seen some of the changes and the steady increases in the numbers
of books in each category. The statistics might be interesting, though.

I haven't compiled any bibliographies, but if they might be put on the
site I will pay attention to possibilities. Right now a couple topics I
can think of just from what I notice when browsing are career resources
of all kinds, and we sure do have a collection of books about Japan.
You might get most of the books you were looking for if you used Japan
as your search criteria, but I doubt any search for books on the topic
of career development or getting a job would be as successful, because
there is such variety in the titles.

I too would be interested in bibliographies that would categorize books
by the authors writing period or specific styles that might be used for
literature classes.

Lists that are for specific periods in history or specific geographical
areas would also be good.

Our science category is a bit broad to contain all the stuff in it, too.
There are many psychology books that could be grouped not only by
psychology, but also many categories within that. A list of all books
on child development, and for psychological disorders, for just two
examples. Of course the categorizing could be endless, so I agree that
some categorizing should be with the category system already in place,
only with a few more categories, and other grouping would be best done
only by providing lists or bibliographies. That would alleviate some of
the problems with the current search options.
