Hi Nancy,
Some things to improve on the site might include, better page number processing, better notification to users about books that have been submitted and aren't yet on the site...

There is no way to jump pages in the Browse Category feature by links. If you want you can manually edit the address of the page to accomplish this goal though. Look at the following URL:

http://www.bookshare.org/web/BooksByCategory.html?category=28&page=2

The very end has page=2 Replace the number two with another integer and you'll get the appropriate page. To get that page= part to show up you'll have to go to the category and click the next link once, or you can type it in by hand I suppose.

HTH,
Jake

we need the foundation of the site to be improved since its initial launch in 2002. Yes, the system has seen changes, but with the growth of BookShare, the system will need to change even more to support all of the new things we hope to see in the future.

Jake

Jake, what are some of the new things that you think would be helpful to those who use bookshare?

One of the major things I can think of that I would like is numbered pages within categories that would allow me to choose whether to go thru itnumerically, or immediately skip to page 103 out of , say, 153 pages. We can't do that already can we? If we can, would you please write me off list and tell me how. I have yet to have the energy to go page by page thru larger categories and read all the book choices. :(

Thanks,
Nancy
