Hi, Christina,

I apologize. Due to life's little insanities, I don't think I can do this
at this time.

I look forward to reading it, though.

Hi, Christina,

Are these books that you own, and want scanned, or that we'd need to
locate
first?

I'd love to add Jack of Kinrowan to the collection, and Visions of Heat,
too.

Let me know if I can help somehow.

Lora

Hello. There are several books I'd like to read. I am naturally willing
to
validate them but I do not have the software to scan them so I am looking
for volunteers for that part of the submission process. Below are a list
of
the books and their synopses. If any of you would like to scan them,
please
e-mail me off list and I will send the books to you.
The books are: Jack of Kinrowan by Charles de Lint, Games of Command by
Linnea Sinclair, Gabriel's Ghost by Linea Sinclair, Visions of Heat by
Nalini Singh, and Gentlemen's Blood: A History of Dueling by Barbara
Holland.
Thank you.
Christina

Jack of Kinrowan
An acknowledged classic of contemporary fantasy, Jack of Kinrowan brings
together in one volume Charles de Lint's rollicking saga of wild faerie
magic on the streets of the city.
Contains Jack, The Giant Killer and Drink Down the Moon.
Jack, the Giant Killer
A faceless gang of bikers on Wild Hunt through the streets of present-day
Ottawa hurtles young Jacky Rowan across the threshold into the perilous
land
of Faerie. There, to her dismay, she is hailed as the Jack of Kinrowan, a
once-and-future trickster hero whose lot is to save the Elven Courts from
unimaginable evil.
Drink Down the Moon
Once the realm of Faerie drew its power from the Moon herself. But now a
ghastly creature has stolen that power and enslaved the Fair Folk--and
Jacky
Rowan herself. Only Johnny Faw, a hadsome fiddler unaware of his magical
gifts, has the power to set them free.

Games of Command
The universe isn't what it used to be. With the new Alliance between the
Triad and the United Coalition, Captain Tasha "Sass" Sebastian finds
herself
serving under her former nemesis, biocybe Admiral Branden Kel-Paten-and
doing her best to hide a deadly past.
But when an injured mercenary winds up in their ship's sick bay-and in the
hands of her best friend, Dr. Eden Fynn-Sass's efforts may be wasted.
Wanted rebel Jace Serafino has information that could expose all of Sass's
secrets, tear the fragile Alliance apart-and end Sass's career if
Kel-Paten
discovers them. But the biocybe has something to hide as well, something
once thought impossible for his kind to possess: feelings . . . for Sass.
Soon it's clear that their prisoner could bring down everything they once
believed was worth dying for-and everything they now have to live for.

Gabriel's Ghost
After a decade of piloting interstellar patrol ships, former captain
Chasidah Bergren, onetime pride of the Sixth Fleet, finds herself
court-martialed for a crime she didn't commit-and shipped off to a remote
prison planet from which no one ever escapes. But when she kills a brutal
guard in an act of self-defense, someone even more dangerous emerges from
the shadows.
Gabriel Sullivan-alpha mercenary, smuggler, and rogue-is supposed to be
dead. Yet now this seductive ghost from Chaz's past is offering her a
ticket
to freedom-for a price. Someone in the Empire is secretly breeding jukors:
vicious and uncontrollable killing machines that have long been outlawed.
Gabriel needs Chaz to help him stop the practice before it decimates
Imperial space. The mission means putting their lives on the line-but the
tensions that heat up between them may be the riskiest part of all.

Visions of Heat
Used to cold silence, Faith NightStar is suddenly being tormented by dark
visions of blood and murder. A bad sign for anyone, but worse for Faith,
an
F-Psy with the highly sought after ability to predict the future. Then the
visions show her something even more dangerous - aching need...exquisite
pleasure. But so powerful is her sight, so fragile the state of her mind,
that the very emotions she yearns to embrace could be the end of her.
Changeling Vaughn D'Angelo can take the form of either man or jaguar, but
it
is his animal side that is overwhelmingly drawn to Faith. The jaguar's
instinct is to claim this woman it finds so utterly fascinating, and the
man
has no argument. But while Vaughn craves sensation and hungers to pleasure
Faith in every way, desire is a danger that could snap the threads of her
sanity. And there are Psy who need Faith's sight for their own purposes.
They must keep her silenced - and keep her from Vaughn.

Gentlemen's Blood: A History of Dueling
The medieval justice of trial by combat evolved into the private duel by
sword and pistol, with thousands of honorable men-and not-so-honorable
women-giving lives and limbs to wipe out an insult or prove a point. The
duel was essential to private, public, and political life, and those who
followed the elaborate codes of procedure were seldom prosecuted and
rarely
convicted-for, in fact, they were obeying a grand old tradition.
Based on her fascinating 1997 Smithsonian article, Barbara Holland's
Gentlemen's Blood is the first trade book to trace the remarkable, often
gruesome, sometimes comical history of the Western tradition of defending
one's honor.
