Hi Mayrie!!

I welcome your response, so thanks for jumping in here.

That's cool! I'll have to contact my libraries to see if they also mail books. I hope so.

Hi Debby,

I'm not Shelley, but some libraries will and do mail books to their
patrons. I receive books by mail from my county library, because I am
seriously limited in my ability to travel. I am not able to walk well
enough to travel as extensively as I once did.

Hi Shelley!

Before the days of the internet, I had a library card and would check out
music or audio books mostly, and an occasional print book. Are you saying
that your library mails you the books? I thought the patrons had to go to
the library to check them out and return them as I used to do, but, I must
admit that I don't have an account on either of our local library's web
sites, so I am completely out of touch on how the online world of library
checking out and returning books works. It would be cool to get books from
the library to either scan or have at hand while proofreading to spot check
with the optacon when I come across a tough scano or to scan the pages that
are missing.
