[bksvol-discuss] Why reviews should not be included as synopses

In looking at reviews to find a synopsis for a book that has "None" listed, I
found another example of two disparate reviews of the book Freak the Mighty.
Earlier I had read two contrasting ones of Frey's newest book, one praising it
and one panning it. I couldn't remember where I'd read them, but if you want to
see examples of two diametrically opposed reviews of the same book by highly
respected sources, go to this tiny URL.

One reason we aren't supposed to use reviews instead of synopses is because
only one review could be misleading. Of course synopses don't give more than a
simple description of the plot. I urge all of you to take a few minutes to
write reviews of books in the collection that you particularly like or dislike.
Soon other readers will come to know if your taste and opinions are the same as
theirs and will descide if a book is worth their downloading.
