Hi, Evan. Text files can contain page breaks as long as you don't load them into a program like Word or Wordpad. When you edit the text file, either load it into Word and save it immediately to rtf format, or validate the text file in a program like Kurzweil or Openbook that will retain page breaks. Just so you know, a page break is ascii code 12, also known in some programs as a form feed character.
