Hey Shelley,
That's what sparked my ideas. I know with my attempt last fall at a
series list site didn't work too well that I would need an interactive
website. Thus the workload could be spread among the different volunteers.
Once the code for the site is written I anticipate little actual updating
time necessary. Not to say I won't work to improve it, but I won't need to
constnatly update the content because the users will be able to do that.

The bibliographies would fall under the "categories" section. What you would
need to do if this ends up being the way I want it to. Is perhaps first
login (I might require login to add stuff to the site). Create the category,
then simply add title/author/bookshare ids to that category and the links
will automatically become available.

If you are interested in helping me with the initial beta of the project let
me know.

Thanks,
Jake

Jake I think this could be the solution to the Bibliographies suggestion a
few weeks ago.

I think it would be great, and if you give us directions on how to create
the biblios, I would be one to do it. I have a few that I have created
for
my own purposes, but am glad to share.

One is on dog health. Another on Dogs in general, and one on Working
dogs.

Hi all, I've had this idea bouncing around in my head for a while now and
wanted
to know if anyone would be interested in such a project.
If I were to create a site that users could put links to BookShare
titles into different categories/series listings, would you use it?
For example, I know Shelley in particular wants a humor category *smile*
and
on the site you could create a Humor category and then proceed to add
links
to titles from the collection. You would need to enter, stuff like the
Title, Author and BookShare ID of the book and then the book would be
linked
in that Category.
Users of the site could go browse a category and if a title caught there
eye, click on the link and be taken to the BookShare page for that book.

I'm a computer science geek and am looking for projects to keep me busy
*grin* and building and interactive website actually sounds like fun. So
if
you have made it this far and are still interested in such a site, let me
know either on or off list. If there's enough interest I will start work
on
it.

Thanks!
Jake
