Hi Shelly,That would be great on the Benjamin West and the Album of Dogs books! So definitely put me down for proofreading those books.
I went out and looked and was surprised to find that there are several more Marguerite Henry books I've never heard of that we don't have in Bookshare. I'm guessing they are pretty rare! Here are the titles:
A Boy and a Dog All About Horses (which is different than her album of horses) Auno and Tauno: A Story of Finland Birds at Home Dear Readers and Riders (also released as: Dear Marguerite Henry) Dilly Dally Sally Geraldine Belinda Little-or-Nothing from Nottingham One Man's Horse Robert Fulton, Boy Craftsman Stories from Around the World Their First Igloo On Baffin Island If you find any of those, Shelley, I'll be glad to proofread them. She also did an entire series in the 1940s on geography, which I don't anything about.

Hi Judy, I can easily do Benjamin West and his Cat Gremalkin's images for you. As my local library has it.The other book is rare, but not imposible to find, It is available from the Free Library of Philadelphia, and luckily neither is too large, so what I can do is scan them and retain images just in case. But would be happy to submit all of those. I scanned them while I was in Boston and they got put on the back burner. So Cindy, Planning to submit By Margaerette Henry Benjamin West and his Cat Gremalkin Album of dogs Black Gold Gaudenzia pride of the Paleio Cinobar The One O'clock foxAnd if there are any others of hers we are missing. I didn't think so, at the time, but you never know.----- Original Message ----- From: "Judy s." <cherryjam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, July 16, 2009 6:42 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Wishlist requestYay Shelly and Melissa! Melissa, if you'd like to do it, why don't you proofread Black Gold? smile. Shelley, I'll be glad to proof the other two that I'm looking for.I've never read the Benjamin West book or the Album of Dogs. Do you still have the book themselves, or can you get them again to create images so that you could send me compressed tiff images of the pages that don't make sense? That way I could proof those too. Otherwise, it'll have to be done by someone who can look at the physical books themselves.Judy s. Melissa Smith wrote:If Judy doesn't want to, I'd be happy to do Black Gold. Melissa Shelley L. Rhodes wrote:I have all three of these scanned, just not edited. Would you be willing Judy? I don't have the images though.I also haveAlbum of Dogs which definitely needs someone to look it over who can see what's missingAndBenjamin West and his Cat Gremalkin, which I loved as a child, but again not sure if it is the font she uses, but there are spots that don't make sense. So if anyone is willing to edit them, I would be happy to put all five of these up.I love her stories too, and wanted to finish the collection of hers. They just take a lot of time and guess work.----- Original Message ----- From: "Judy s." <cherryjam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: "Grandma Cindy" <popularplace@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, July 16, 2009 2:10 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Wishlist requestI'd love to see the following three Marguerite Henry books added to the collection: 1. "Cinnabar, the One-o'Clock Fox" 2. Black Gold 3. Gaudenzia, Pride of the PalioAll three are excellent children's books. They are out of print and from what I've found very expensive to buy used, but I think many libraries still have copies available.Judy s.
