Hi, Cindy. You seem to be the resident rescuer, from what I have observed
while llurking around this list!
I believe this must be the hard-cover edition: it is Boston, Houghton
Mifflin, copyright 2000.
Yes, from what I can find, the author's first name is simply Marq. I found
him listed in the NLS catalog, listed the same way. In fact, they have
taped "Water," but with my least favorite reader. This book belongs in
BookShare.
I should warn you that you are dealing with a computer semi-literate. I
have no idea of the font. Also, it appears that a line is skipped between
paragraphs, with no indentation. Probably if I would learn to work in
Word, I could pick these things up better, but right now I am more
comfortable with Kurzweil.
The delay is not a serious problem. I can continue validating and then
fill in the missing pages when you can send them. In fact,I will be out of
town from April 6 to 13. I guess the only problem is someone else picking
up the book when it goes back to the validation list, but I think it has
been there for a while.
Sorry for this long-winded response. Again, thanks.

Hi, Mary,
I went to the library this afternoon and the book is missing, i.e., it's supposed to be on the shelf and not checked out, but it was nowhere to be found. I have requested it from another library, though, but it probably won't come in to my branch until next week.
In looking at the catalog of a third library, I see there is a paperback copy published in 2001 as well as the hardbound that was published in 2000. Which one do you have? If it's the paperback, I can get it, too, but it will take longer (I'm won't be where that library is until the 8th or 9th.)
It looks, too, as if the author's first name is actually M a r q. Odd, isnt\'t it? He must be related to the earlier Marquises de Villiers of England.
