I use Norton, Windows XP, Jaws and have fast DSL, and a 3 gigahertz
computer.

I never saw any messages from Norton Security, so I don't think that
could be the problem since I uploaded Laboratory Medicine with the same
setup in May as a scanned book it took about 20 minutes. .

I will approach it again, but if I cannot do this by Friday I may have
to release the book, have a busy weekend coming up.

Rose,
Validating and submitting books, which both require uploading files
to
the site do not generally require a long period of waiting. There is
probably something on your computer like Norton that is interfering in
some
way or another. What operating system are you using and what if any
antivirus?
Yes, your uploads should go quite fast. Keep in mind though that
upload
speeds have their own rating on DSL lines, usually less than the
download
speed. General DSL lines today are 768kbps as well with a 128kbps upload
stream.
Any book unless it is ARK or KES with images should not take more
than a
few minutes on highspeed connections, and never has for me so lets try
and
figure out what could be happening. I hope you will find that the
process is
not that time consuming when the kinks are worked out, believe me I
would
long have given up if it was.

Jake
