Hi, Sue. Just as an FYI, since you have JAWS 4.50, you're entitled to 4.51 for
free. That's how we did it, anyway. Maybe you can still download it. Of course,
that won't give you the latest, but it's something. They also have a patch for
4.51 that fixes the problem of JAWS slowing down the system with Windows XP,
but I don't know which operating system you have so that may not apply to you.
Take care.

  Hi Jake,

My refreshable display shows the progress when I download but not when I
upload. Thanks for that info. I still have Jaws 4.50. I have not bought 6.00
yet.

  Hey Sue,
Just so you know...newer versions of JAWS, 6.0+ have support for progress
bars, and web browsers often have those, so that's probably the progress Rose
is referring to. I'm not sure how they represent that on refreshable braille
though...I've got to get mine out and start playing with it some before my
programming class starts.

  Cheers!
  Jake

    Hi Rose,

The way I get the best results is to type the whole path where it says
"file to upload". Such as: c:\windows\desktop\filename.zip or whatever the
extension is. Make the filename 8 or less characters with no punctuation
marks. Then instead of hitting browse I hit where it says browse btn and it
should go to accept. The screen reader does remain silent until the upload is
finished..

Hope this is not just repeating what you have seen before... <smile>

    Regards,
    Sue S.
