Hi Gerald:

I have scanned 1 of the books I listed and am about to submit it. I will tell Rui to take it off once I submit it. He hasn't changed his address.I just sent a test message to see if it's working. I think cox was having some email issues this week.

Additionally I know that there was at least 1 instant which this list prevented duplication.

The other thing that would be helpful in maintaining this list is for people to notify him or the list that they've submitted the book so that he can take it off the list.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Upcoming Books List

Is anyone bothering to put books that they plan to scan in the near future
on Rui's Upcoming Books List? There doesn't appear to have been much
activity on the list since the first of the year, and most of the books on
the list have been there at least 60 to 90 days. There's even a few that
are a couple of weeks shy of being on it 6 months.

One reason I asked is that I've been trying to send Rui e-mail this week
asking him to update the list, and I keep getting the e-mails back saying
that they were undeliverable due to persistent failure. Does anyone know if
Rui changed his e-mail address lately?

Should I even be bothering to send Rui books for the list or reference the
list before I scan a book? I think it's a good idea, but if only a few
people are going to help maintain it, then it's not very reliable.

So,

Rui, are you still maintaining the list, and

Prat, Shelley, Sarah, Grace, Pam, ...

do you still intend to update the list or should I not bother with it?

Gerald
