[bksvol-discuss] Trouble With Sumissions/Submitters

Hi Grandma Cindy and Others,

The details of how volunteers will contact each other when alias names are used
is still being figured out G. Cindy(to answer your question) but I will
definitely let you know when I do, how it's going to work!

On a somewhat related note-- starting now, writing to the Volunteer Coordinator
instead of the list is something we want to encourage volunteers to do when
they are not happy with a submission/submitter they are working with. As staff
the VC can take your issue and then go into the system, take a look at the
relevant title history to see if there are any extra "clues" as to what might
be happening in there and then check up on the submitter/submission in
question. Based on what she finds, she can then effectively follow up with the
concerned person and pass on suggestions if there are any to be passed on.

I know in the past there hasn't been a specific person you could address such
issues to, but it would be great now that I'm in that role, to see if this is a
more efficient, less headachy way for volunteers to deal with such problems!

All good things,

Pavi Mehta

WONDERFUL!! Thanks Pavi and bookshare admins.

How will it work? If one clicks on the alias will mail get to the person, or
will we ask Carrie or Lindsie or you, Pavi, to forward our questions to the
person and/or ask them to contact us?

G.Cindy
