Hi everyone!
I was just looking around on Snapfiles, because someone was asking recently
about low-cost or free OCR software. I found one thing that needs a
digital camera instead of a scanner, so it might come in handy if someone's
scanner quits in the middle of a project, or who just likes to try
software. I don't have a digital camera, so I cannot use it. Here is the

digital photos of printed text (e.g book pages) to digital documents.
Unlike traditional

word processor interface and saved in several formats including PDF.

TopOCR works surprisingly well for a free product, it is not guaranteed to
work 100%.
I have used it about ten times and it only failed once. The accuracy in
translation
is very good. As an occasional OCR program then I would recommend it. If
you have
a regular use for such a program then it might pay to put your credit card
to use.
