I didn't read all of your original post until I read
Julia's that's just below. Then I continued down and
read your whole post.

No, I haven't kept track of how many people I've
helped. Sometimes it's just supplying a page or two or
sentences or paragraphs from several pages. In one
case it was doing a whole book a third at a time. In
one case the missing pages turned out to be half the
book, but I'm not going to do that again, as someone
else recently found out. In some cases the pages I
supplied so interested me that I ended up reading the
book itself myself. 

It's a pleasure helping people who are doing their
best and need a little help. I'm glad you mentioned
that Jamie and I are willing and able to do so. I'm
only sad when my libraries don't have the books and I
can't help.
