Yikes! This really sounds complicated, Dan! Glad I'm not having this
problem! (smile) I am saving these instructions though in case I ever do.

Hi Allison,

Maybe if I give you the steps I did it will help you. For this change there
is actuallly only a small chance of messing up your system.

First copy this value to your clipboard. WarnOnHTTPSToHTTPRedirect

1) open the run dialog from the start menu and type regedit and press enter.

2) cursor down until you hear the HKEY_current_user entry.

3) cursor right once to open this key.

4) press the s key until you hear software

5) cursor right once to open the entry

6) press the m key until you hear MicroSoft. make sure it is MicroSoft not
Microsof without the t.

7) cursor right once to open the entry.

8) press the w key until you hear windows.

9) cursor right once to open this entry

10) cursor down until you hear CurrentVersion

11) cursor right once to open this entry

12) press the i key until you hear InternetSettings

13) cursor right once to open this entry

14) press alt+e to open the edit pulldown.

15) you should hear new as a submenu. if not cursor until you do hear it

16) cursor right once to open the submenu.

17) cursor down until you hear dword value and press enter

18) paste in the WarnOnHTTPSToHTTPRedirect value you copied to your
clipboard earlier and press enter

19) press alt+e to open the edit pulldown again.

20) cursor down until you hear modify and press enter

21) type 8 zeros

22) tab and you should hear base hexadecimal. if you hear decimal then
cursor up once to hear base hexadecimal.

23) tab once to hear ok and press enter.

24) press alt+f to open the file pulldown.

25) cursur up until you hear exit and press enter.

You should now be able to open I E and go to the BookShare site and not get
that blasted dialog.

Good luck if you decide to try this.
