Hi Allison, Lissi, and anyone else having the superscript/subscript problem,
I, too, am having this tiresome problem and am using Word 2003. I read on
one of the Jaws lists that Freedom Scientific is aware of the problem and is
working on it. It doesn't appear that the reported superscript/subscript is
actually in the document... for whatever that's worth!

Hi, I'm also encountering the superscript issue that Lissi described. This
is just after my update to JAWS 9. I have tried to delete the word or
phrase with the superscripts around it, and then hand type in the words
myself, but this does not always work. Sometimes I will retype and JAWS
will still say "superscript." So I'm not sure what to do about it. I had a
friend with some vision look at the doc and said that she couldn't see
anything where I indicated, but I'm still not 100% sure whether or not the
superscripts are doing something detrimental to the texts I'm validating.
I don't mind ignoring JAWS saying superscript, but my concern is that it's
saying it because there is something in the print text that I should be
removing. What might a superscript look like in a print book? I thought
they were
numbers, can they be letters too? How would we fix them?
