Speaking only for myself, I just leave the numbers the way they are. I check
to make sure they're the right number, but don't fiddle more than that. I've
gotten no comments from the staff thus far.

I am proofing a book which has an enormous number of footnotes. I have
several questions.
Am I correct that I should be making these numbers superscript?
If so, is there an easier way to do this than to select each number go into
format, font and check superscript?
Is there a way to make all the footnote numbers superscript at one time?
