Hi, Gary!  Most of the time, I just write the short synopsis in my own words, 
unless there's one at the top of the book jacket.  I'm trying to think of an 
example for you, but I'm afraid my tired brain just won't go there tonight. 
<Smile>  I will say that a lot of times, the short synopsis included as part of 
a book jacket will include an elipsis.  Hope this helps at least a little bit!

  I've just spend more time trying to trim book jacket information to fit a 
short description than I ever care to.  Anyone know of a convenient source for 
same.  I'm beginning to understand why some people leave useless comments here. 
 Perhaps it should be dropped entirely.
