Shelby Foote, the Civil War historian and novelist, died today. We have
serveral of his volumes on the Civil War on our site. They are written in
a narrative style which is full of anecdotal asides. He is extremely
readable. Perhaps we can feature his books on the site and do our best to
complete the collection.
