[bksvol-discuss] Re: Serious or Sirius?

Well, now, here's another example of homonyms causing
problems, E. Gary wrote S i r i u s, and I checked to
see if it is already on the Wish List (it isn't). Evan
wrote S e r i o u s. Neither put the author's name. If
I were looking for the book in my library, or on
Amazon, I'd have a little trouble. This has happened
in the past, by the way, when I've looked for books by
title in the library and didn't find them. Then I've
looked under author name and found that the title I
was looking for was incorrect, though spelled the way
it sounded. That was the problem, too, when Ann or
whoever was looking for the Anne of Green Gables books
in the collection.
O.K. I'll stop now. I thinkk I've given enough
examples--probably too many. My apologies. I do tend
to go on and on and on. sigh
