Hi Cindy,

Yes, I thought I had written back to you. The title you mentioned was Firestorm. I wasn't able to reproduce any errors. Using simple and advanced searches I was able to find the book without a problem. Are you still having trouble?

There was one the other day that I think I wrote to
you about, Jake. Hopefully you got my message because
not I can't remember what the book was. I couldn't
find it by title in Search the bookshare.org but I did
find it by author.

Hi Sue,

I'm sorry to hear of your frustrations. I've worked
with Bookshare's search a lot. I'm not aware of any
outstanding bugs when searching by titles. To best
address problems, we would need a specific example
where things went wrong. That would help us
reproduce the issue. Once we've done so, a fix is
usually pretty obvious. Unfortunately we can't troll
through all the search code looking for that one
tiny error if we're not pointed in the right
direction, smile.

If you find some unexpected results in future,
please tell me as much as you can in an email. It's
probably best to email me directly so I'm sure to
see your message. I usually see all the messages on
list, but some day's I admit to subject surfing due
to time constraints. My email is jakeb@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks,
Jake

I am posting on this list because some of the
staff sees it. The search functions for searching
the collection do not always work. So often I get
the message saying there were no matches found, when
I know a book is in the collection but do not know
the author. And before you ask, yes, I do check my
spelling.
