If all else fails, click on the link that allows you to browse the authors,
and you'll find what you need that way. It's a long, round-about way,
granted, but I've always found what I was looking for that way, if Bookshare
has it. Take care.

Hey Kaitlyn,
I've always thought the search feature of the site to be at a absolute
minimal, but we have been assured that BookShare is developing a new search
facility. A small grant made that possible, if I remember correctly.
Try only putting in the author's last name. Sometimes author's names can
be spelled differently in different places. We have been attempting to
eliminate these problems. However I believe if you searched for something by
Ulysses S. Grant and entered Ulysses Grant, nothing would appear, but
searching for just Grant would find Ulysses S. Grant.

And no, not completing your subscription should have nothing to do with
being able to see titles that are on the system. You bring up something
interesting though. Perhaps BookShare could consider allowing volunteers
with proof of disability to download a title from the collection for each
title they submit.

HTH,
Jake
