Natasha I'm wondering if you could Control-A to select all of the text, then 
Alt-o for the format menu, then F for font, then Alt-p (you might have to do it 
twice to toggle it off) to get rid of the check in the superscript box. That 
would turn off all superscript so if you have superscript you want to keep, 
don't do that.
   
  Then could you do a find and replace for 1? with just ? in the replace box?
