  Hi Sue,

Try the Applications Context Menu. Usually if I hit that (the key between
alt and control on the right side of my laptop keyboard), it gives choices
pertinent to the table. You can delete it, for example. I'm not sure if it
lets you turn it to text, though. I don't have 2010--I have 2007, but this is
how I work with tables to insert and delete lines or cells.

    Hi folks,

In the book I am proofing there is a line that is a table, although it is
not supposed to be a table. Alt+a doesn’t seem to bring up the table menu in
Word 2010. Can someone telll me how to get rid of this line, please?

    Thanks for any help,

    Sue S.
