Yes, it would make sense, and it's be suggested/requested on several different occasions. I think the problem is that there are too many volunteers who aren't on the list and don't see the suggestions, or are just too concerned with their privacy. Putting the name and e-mail address would be so easy--I think there's a check-off on the volunteer form for that--or its negative alternative.
