I Braille right on the book itself. Usually they are
children's books that my boys have outgrown.

My friend does have a Perkins brailler but she doesn't
know how to set it up and now that she lives in a
different state, that state offers assistance only if
she is going to be in a work program. So they won't
come into her home and set it up. She also has a
braille tty that needs set up. When she lived with her
abusive soon-to-be-ex-husband he always promised he
would set these things up but then never did.
Personally I think he just liked to keep her isolated
but that's another story.

I have no problem putting braille onto print books for
them with my slate and stylus. If I need something
sent to her in Grade 2 braille I email it to
maureensmusic@xxxxxxxxxxx and she brailles it for me
for a donation. For a long time that was the only way
I had to communicate with her in a manner that her
husband couldn't find out.
