I personally would change it all to twelve points and either new roman or ariel. We know that works.
If the person has some usable sight they can control the size with their own reading software.
Just my opinion. Bob"We know the future will outlast all of us, but I believe that all of us will live on in the future we make,"

Hi Valerie and Lori, I'm not positive about this, but here's what I think I rememberbeing told. Bookshare's tools take big fonts and shrink them, except wherethey are headings. I think it is assumed that folks needing font enlargement will use their adaptive software to do the enlarging. I know that back in the dark ages, screen readers did choke on fonts larger than about 24 or 30. That may have changed with advances in software. Mysuggestion would be to try what you want to try, Valerie, and then, once thebook is included into the collection, download it and see what the tools have done to or with it. Since you are the proofreader, I think Lori's question/issue was addressed. Just my thoughts. He came to me from Shelley in larger fonts, and I just wondered if there was at least the four pt. variance if it couldstill be kept at a larger size. I had not stopped to think about screen readers, can anyone address that issue? Thanks! I'm not techy enough to know, but does a particular size font interfere with the screen reader? Okay, my question is, in kids books, can we use larger pt. fonts, like 16 and 24? Nichole was showing her books on her screen to a buddy and they always wanted larger fonts. Most kids books scan at something s like 16 & 24, so I am hoping that would be okay. I am doing two of Shelley's Stanley books and would like to do them like that if it is acceptable and will still handle well in Braille.
