Hi Lori C.!

Thanks for answering my question.

I have also noticed Word searching for what is in the find box with the Pg Up and Pg Dn commands, which is an annoying thing about Word.

Are you saying that I should type ^+m in the find box, or what? I'm a little confused on the PG UP and PG DN command that will always work in Word with or without something previously in the find box.

Debbie, To go page down in Word use control+pagedown; page up is control+page up.

However, now that I have said that if you have put something in your find or find and replace box control+page down will search for the next recurrence of that item.

So to get back to using the commands to be page up or page down I do a find for ^+m.

If this does not make sense, let me know.

Lori C.

Hi Lynnsky!

That's good. Happy to hear the OB manual is on it's way.

What I have been doing now is proofing in Word, but having a copy of the file in Op so that I can verify page numbers, because it's so easy to go from page to page in OB rather than in Word, because Word doesn't go from page break to page break when using a PG UP or PG DN command, which was beginning to annoy me. OB is helping me a lot by helping me make sure I am not missing a page number.

Hi Debby!

It's in process. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer and there'll be some
scanning instructions for OpenBook 8 which can be adapted for previous
versions of OpenBook. *smile*

Blessings.

Hi Bob!

Since there's an article on proofreading using Kurzweil 1000, and since
some people are OpenBook users, it might be nice to have an article on that
package if the results are good with OB.
