Hi Deborah,

Some of that is true for me, and some not. Even though I have my e-mail to
compose in text format, my pasted text when having been displayed as white
on black when in Kurzweil 1000 still came out in e-mail as white on white
when I pasted from K1000 to e-mail. I'm glad you don't have this problem!
Computers are finicky sometimes, aren't they? I have no idea why we don't
get the same results, but I'm glad that you have no problems!

Hi Mary,

Actually, that's not true. Notepad doesn't support any font color other than
black-on-white, so if your K1000 or MSWord doc has text other than black and
you copy it into Notepad the color will come out as black. I do it all the
time.

I also have my email set to compose in text format unless I need it to be
otherwise, and that cures the white text problem.

Hi Gary,

If you don't change your display settings in K1000, but copy from there to
any other program, I am pretty sure you'll always have white on white text
and background. The default in k1000 is white on black for text and
background. If you don't need to look at your screen you can easily change
in display settings to black on white and your pastes will be legible no
matter where you paste to and from.

That's just been my experience.

I copied it from K1000 direct and didn't realize what would happen to the
font.
I'll try Notepad next time.

I had to do the same here -- I'm pretty sure Gary used a white font so for
us sighted list members the white text became invisible against the white
background.

I have sight and I had to highlight what Gary pasted in as the copyright
page to be able to see it. I think it was white font.
