Hi Melissa!

I just went to eBays list of book lots which I had on my mental to-do list for a while and I'll show you what I did to get the list of books in this lot that I chose sort of at random.

I searched for book lots, and decided on this one to look at:

A Lot of books 4 (5 hardback books)
0 Bids
Buy It Now
$0.99
$15.00
Time left:
9m

Then I hit the link:

A Lot of books 4 (5 hardback books)

That got me to the page that gives more detail on this item, of course, which was undoubtably where you were in whatever book lot you searched on. I didn't find any book titles there either, because I didn't go far enough.

I hit the link called:

Description

Amongst the repeated information about the seller, etc., there was this listing.

These are all hardback books in good condition
R is for Ricochet---Sue Grafton
Same Letters to Jennifer--James Patterson
Janet Evanovich---Stephanie Plum Nourer
Kill The Messenger--Tami Hoag
Suspect- Michael Robotham

So, those were my results. I hope you find the list of books in your book lot searches from now on.

You know, I was recently looking at the bulk lots on ebay, and several of the descriptions didn't even list the titles that were included in the lot. That was very annoying. I was thinking about buying a lot off EBay and scanning what wasn't on Bookshare. Then I was going to use them to start trading on paperbackswap.com or bookmooch.com. I backed off after several descriptions didn't have the titles. Maybe I just didn't look at the right ones.

The minimum price for a book at HDC is seventy-five cents. I forget what the shipping charge is, but it is nothing spectacular. The advantage is that when you buy multiple books from the same seller you get a discount on shipping. That way, if you buy enough books at once, you could very well be better off than at Amazon where you are charged $3.99 per book for shipping no matter how many you buy. Again though, if you are going to buy a large number of books your best bet is a library sale, a thrift store or a bulk lot from eBay. That can be very cheap, but if you are looking for a specific title you are not likely to find it that way unless you are very lucky.

What about half.com? Do you know anything about their prices and have you
ever used them?
