Greetings Everyone,

There has been a very positive response to the launching of the online live
interactive Bookshare Community room that has been provided by the
Accessible World, in partnership with Talking Communities. It has been
noted, however, that some avid book lovers and supporters of Bookshare have
not yet stopped by to say Hello.

We are anxious to know each of you. Therefore, Jim Baugh, Louise Gourdoux,
and Pat Price invite you to attend an Open House that will be available in
the new Bookshare Community room tomorrow (,Friday) and Saturday. . Drop
in at your convenience and stay as long as your time permits during the
following hours:
Friday, June 29 - From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Time).
Saturday, June 30, 2007 - From 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)

They will help you adjust your microphones and speakers, turn off the JAWS
progress bar, acquaint you with all the cool features of the conferencing
software, , answer any specific Bookshare-related questions, or just chat as
friends do when they get together.

Using a PC running Windows 2000 or higher, an Internet connection, a sound
card, and speakers, click on the Bookshare Chat Room link on the Accessible
World Home page at:

        http://www.accessibleworld.org

or use the following direct link: http://tinyurl.com/2avczp

If this is the first time you have entered a Talking Communities chat room,
or the conference client has been updated, you will need to install and then
run the Talkcom software. It is very small and safe to install on your
computer.

When the installation is complete, return to the sign-in screen and select
the Enter Room button. Enter your first and last name, Leave the Password
field blank. tab to the log in button, and press Enter.
That's it. You will be in the chat room and can begin talking with others in
the room by pressing and holding down the Control key.

Don't hesitate to bring along all your friends. Seating is unlimited and
there will be plenty of virtual refreshments for everyone!
