Hi Rachel,
We use Openbook, but I can't say which of the scanning engines is better.
We use the default reading engine, whichever one that is. As far as RTF is
concerned, we always convert to RTF at the very last after doing the editing
in ARK, and there is usually no problem. Once or twice we did have a pro
blem and we solved it by first converting the ARK file to Word and then to
RTF. Hope this helps.

Hi, everyone.
I'm using OpenBook version 7.02. I heard it doesn't save RTF files very
well. I'm wondering if it saves Microsoft Word files without the extra
characters, or would I be better going into Microsoft Word, then file,
then scan using Open Book. Also, which is the best scanning engine to use,
OMNI PAGE, Recognida, or Fine Reader? I'm using a Dell AIO 926 all-in-one
scanner, printer, and copier.
