I wasn't interested in submitting in braille. I was interested, actually, in
how one ought to portray the elipsis when scanning/validating. I do what I
ordinarily do because of how at least my translator would translate if I was
translating, but really, if it is best to go with . . . , I'll change them all
before I submit the validation back. *smile*

Bookshare no longer accepts submissions in Braille. That was part of the
change they made when they stopped accepting TXT files last Fall.

The draft of the new manual was updated to reflect the change at the time
the policy took effect.. If there's any confusion after the manual's released,
then we'll tackle it then. The new manual should be available on the website
within a day or two after the next upgrade to the website. Can't give you a
definite time frame, but as people have probably noticed, upgrades are
occurring much more frequently now, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it before
the end of July.

We will make sure this is covered in the new version of the volunteer
manual, which we expect to post on the volunteer home page in about two weeks.
Once it's up there, we'll be able to dynamically update it whenever changes are
needed, and we will summarize those changes at the front of the document (once
we start revving it).

To start with, since so much content, we're going to recommend that all the
volunteers read the whole thing.

    Best regards,

    Lisa

I for one don't know how to submit a braille file that would accomplish
this; please explain. I wish that Jake, Gerald and whoever else has any
influence with the staff would request guidance on this matter.
