"To me, music that breaks your heart is the music that stays with you forever. It's one thing to be melancholy and one thing to be sophisticated, but when you get the two of them together in a way people can relate to, then I think you're on to something. You want the sophistication to lie in the purity of the sound, the beauty of the arrangements, and the quality of the performances."-Trumpeter Chris Botti

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] OT the joys of using speech recognition software

I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking for all of my typing and sometimes you get
some very strange, and often humorous, responses when it misunderstands what
you said.

I just had a very funny "speak-o".
I was dictating what Valerie wanted me to call in to the Chinese restaurant.
First, it did not do well with "egg foo Yung", but that wasn't very
interesting.
Next I tried to say "crab Rangoon" and it understood me to say
"crackbrained". Now I don't know very much about Chinese food, but I
certainly know there's a lot of difference between crab Rangoon and
crackbrained. But, maybe there's some strange connection there...

Thought you guys might find this funny.
