Congratulations on your dog! And a fellow Oregonite, to boot!----- Original Message ----- From: "liz halperin" <lizzersagain@xxxxxxxxxxx>

My fourth dog, and I finally have a Jewish one! Her name is Aziza (Hebrewfor "strong") and when I add the ending of endearment, she becomes Azizaleh.Aziza is a black lab, very small, only 43 pounds. She's also a little firecracker. In harness, she's the best at guidework I've had to date. Rarely any clearance errors, doesn't run curbcuts, and stopped at every overhead clearance in training except the one that was waist high on short(5'2") me. During training, she already kept me from getting smooshed by an unplanned "traffic check" with a car leaving a parking lot. With my cane, Iwould not have heard or seen it, and all would have depended on the driver seeing me.She's still a pup, only 20 months old (but full grown except for filling out in the chest from pulling the harness) and still has some puppy play traitsthat will be fun to curb and watch mature.Even though I am only halfway unpacked, have several major family, medical, financial and other projects with deadlines to attend to, it's grand to be home again. Hands itching to get going on scanning and reading!
