Instead of entering on the download link to view the synopses and other
information about the book/file, use shift enter. This will follow the
link, but it will be opened in a window of it's own. Then, you can still
read the information about the book/file, choose to or not to download the
book, and instead of using alt left arrow or backspace to go back to the
step one page and wait for it to entirely reload, use alt F4 to close the
window. The step one page with all the books will still be opened with your
curser in the same place it was before pushing alt enter.
I will note here that the page will not be refreshed from the time you were
on it a few minutes previously, but considering it saves you from having to
wait a whole minute or more for the page to refresh, it's worth the risk.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: OT: Why Does Reloading Pages Take So Long?
Hmmm, I'm using IE 6 point something. But I think Jake and Julie are probably right that the pages are generated from a query every time I click on them. I have no idea how you can do that "almost instantly" with IE.
