Natalie, you're courageous. I'm not sure I'd get through the whole book. I'm currently reading The Rotary Club Murder Mystery. It's a cozy locked room mystery with lots of colorful characters. The writing is good, but the NLS narrator they chose is truly awful because she tries to speak Southern but only succeeds in sounding like a Yankee who is talking funny. Since Southern dialect and manners are such a big part of this book, she was a ppor choice for a reader. She does other books well, but this time she's actually detracting from the book experience because she sounds so odd. I think I'd prefer this book in text, and that probably means I'll end up scanning it later on. Maybe I should write to NLS and offer to teach their readers how to say Georgia, sugar, y'all, and honeychild properly. (grin)
