Maybe he was serious--from his answer to someone he could have been--but Guido has a wonderful, dry sense of humor, as those who have been here for long enough to remember him know. When he and Pratik and Gustavo, who has passed away, graced us with their presence on he life, life was full of smiles and laughter. Recently we've just had Bob with the same kind of humor--and Ann. The CSUN conference is coming up in March. It will be here in Los Angeles, near the airport. I believe the date are from March 17 through the 21st. A lot of amusing, silly conversations start occurring here in preparation for that. I'm hoping to be in town and able to come for lunch one day, and Liz H. and I are planning to meet. A few years ago I was able to have lunch with Carrie and Pratik; somehow Scott B and i passed each other without recognition. Who else of you are planning to be there? Maybe we can all meet for lunch? There usually is a volunteer evening get-together with staff, but I can only come for lunch and would love to meet some of you. In the past I've also met Donna Smith and E., and I saw handsome Guido--an advantage of having sight. smile And met briely Jim Fruchterman and other staff who were on their way to a meeting. Pavi, I understand you'll be going, at least for part of the conference. Would it be possible to arrange for a table and time for those who might like to get together for lunch, preferably Wed. or later in the week.
