My 2 cents worth,
PCP is also the name or designation of a highly danngerous drug or chemical compound used by people to get high but it also makes them viotent and difficult to control or calm down. Rodney King was accused of being on it which was the excuse the police used for the beating - saying they could not get him to stop figting. It is often the cause of or excuse for (both may be true) violence on the part of the police in attempting to make an arrest. It is also showing up on more TV dramas. Even a little of it can cause unusual behavior in a person as well as some memory loss.
