Hi Rick, The O'reilly books are usually designed so that you should read the ones that have titles like Learning xxx" Where xxx is the thing you are a beginner at. Then, they branch off from there to books that may specialize in some aspect of a topic or books that are references, or deeper books. For example, on the subject of Perl, you have Learning Perl, then you have Perl in a Nutshell, the reference book, and Programming Perl, a much deeper book on the whole of Perl and Perl Objects and References (I think that's its title) which teaches some aspect of Perl. Also, they have things called cookbooks, which have chapters that give you ways to solve common problems or do common things with a language or area. Thanks. When reading technical things, I do better with braille. One of the things I always wonder about these books is where to start. In other words, there may be several books on a subject, but which one should be read first?
