[bksvol-discuss] O T messages and Miss Wings safe landing

Dear Miss Wings and Volunteer Friends,

Glad your flight delay had both obvious and intangible benefits.

I don't mind the O T posts on this list. It's a privilege to get to know the personalities of the Volunteers beyond their scanning and validating preferences, skills, mishaps, and schemes to strengthen Bookshare. Besides, while reading Oh Teez, I get much needed exercise at what would otherwise be a sedentary session with my computer.

catching my breath,
snatching at gossip
opening my mind,
stretching my credulity,
biting my tongue,
covering my ears,
stabbing delete
Dabbing tears,
stealing ideas,
holding my sides,
beaming with pride,

It's a thorough workout thanks to a very subscriber friendly list.

Always with love,

Lissi

Yeah I did ... smile. Coming back on the 31st my plane got delayed for almost two and a half hours so I spent a lot of extra time at the airport, but I didn't mind. That way my mom and I got to go and have lunch instead of getting something quick to eat. Whenever something like that happens I always think there's a reason for it. The plane delay, not mom and me having lunch lol! I figure something might've happened if it'd been on time or to my mom on the way home ... and then again I might never know. I don't complain though because I'd rather be late than not get home at all. Okay I guess I've rambled on long enough now and I hope no one minds. Happy New Year all, and thanks Monica.

Hi, Carrie and MissWings. I'm the one who scanned the book. (smile) I'll upload it in the morning with a hold for you on it. I hadn't uploaded it since I knew you were on vacation. I hope you had a great trip.

Hi MissWings,

Did you send the book to the Bookshare office? I don't recall seeing it there, but my memory is pretty bad. I'll check when I go into the office next Monday, but I think that probably someone else has it.

I can't remember who had this book, but I think it was Carrie. I got back
yesterday from my vacation, so was wondering if you could upload the book
if you're done scanning it, if you still have it. I'll be glad to have the
complete copy so I can finish working with it. Our church did it for a
group Bible study program about a year ago and we only got through the
first five weeks, so I'll be interested to know what the rest of the study
is like. Thanks much.
