Dear Katie,

Your quote about communication is so pertinent, Not just to posts on this list and e mail in general, but to every word we say. It's very worthy of thought. Whatever we write or say, we presume or hope will be understood, but since we all process the world differently,
miscommunication is bound to happen.

My rambling shows why Shaw is a master. He made the point exactly with such an economy of words!

Do you remember that I collect quotes? The quotes people place after their signatures are always fun to check out.

You certainly found the right words at the right time.

Always with love,

Lissi

E,

In many ways there is no way any of the guidelines can really be checked.
How does one know if all the page breaks are there or if a good spell
checking has been done.

The greatest problem in communication is the illusion that it has been
accomplished.

There is no way of knowing if a validator reads through the whole book. So
I cannot understand how this could be made a requirement.
