Hi, Shelley! Just to add to what Julie said, if you don't mind pressing the Enter key to open a message, you can keep the Preview pane turned off. That way, your messages won't open automatically and cause unwanted results. <Smile> HTH!

Hi, Shelley. Go in and turn off your preview pane in the layout dialog box in the view menu. Then, you can go delete that message, then turn thepreview pane back on if you want it. That's what I'd do, because the preview pane automatically opens messages when you land on them. That's why you canhit tab to read the message, then shift tab back to the messagelist...because with the preview pane, the message actually does open in thatpane. That's what I'd do and I hope it helps.
