Hi, Shelley. I'm curious. When you travel to the different schools, will you
be using public transportation, hiring a driver or how do you plan to do
that? I hope it all goes well for you. Take care.

I will be working in Lynn, Chelsea, and Everett, which are the northern
suburbs of Boston or so I have been able to gather so far, smile.

I will be teaching, on an itinerate basis, which means I travel from school
to school, to provide instruction, in Braille, using vision effectively,
assistive technology, and any other skills that my students need to prepare
them for intradependent lives, smile. See I didn't use independent, as we
are none of us totally independent. smile.

But that is the plan. Thanks everyone.

Laurel,

I will let you know what I learn through this.

I will say

That I am using a lot of the check lists, in

The Renter's Survival Kit

Which is in the collection. Lots of good stuff in there.

Making lists, lots of lists of things to do, from

Making sure to get a fresh perscription on my meds, to getting a up to date
history of my dog's health, to figuring out how to transfer my NLS
membership, to what exactly am I packing, and how am I getting it tthere.

Plus figuring out SSDI and how it figures, how to get a loan, how to switch
my insurance so I am not ccaught without health insurance. And the list
goes on, and on, and on, smile. My Rehab Counselor has been really great
throughout this, with being willing to help with relocation expenses, and
also the transplant in the braillenote. And well.... It will fall together,
there are just a lot of pieces to be worked on, smile.

Ah, sigh. Am tired , will listen to Pentacost alley, and work on finishing
up a knitted Christmas present need to finish.

Smile.

It is a very fun, and frankly quite terrifying experience, at the moment, I
will feel much better as the prospects and definite details, fall into
place, smile.

But it is fun.

Shelley, That's wonderful!!! Congratulations!!

Will this be in a regular school or a school for the
blind and vsually impaired or otherwise handicapped?
What subject? And when you say teenagers, is it high
school or middle school? Are ou in Boston proper or
one of the surrounding areas, like Brookline, where I
spent my early years?

Cindy
