I do think we should figure out a way to get professional and academic
journals as well as the other high end periodicals into the system somehow.

Hi Chris,

Sorry about the delay in responding to your question. I did look into what
Bookshare's policy was on accepting periodicals as it turns out Evan is
absolutely right -- we don't accept scans of periodicals from individuals.
The only periodicals currently available on Bookshare are ones that we
receive from NFB. They get the daily feed from the newspapers and
periodicals and convert it into a format that is accessible and then feed it
to Bookshare. (Right now we do not have the ability to accept direct feed
from newspapers and periodicals.)

I'll have to look in the manual to see if there is an actual statement to 
that effect, but in any case, I'm pretty sure that you cannot submit 
magazines or journals to Bookshare. The fact that there are none available 
from Bookshare already makes me even more sure.
