You cannot validate kes files unless you have k1k. Lots of folks do not
have it or even open book. They validate books with rtf or doc
extensions. People are encouraged to submit in rtf but until they do you
simply have to let somebody else handle the kes submissions.
Before you ask, it is not legal to have someone else send you the file
which was originally on step 1 in kes in some other format. Hope this helps.
