Make sure you unlock the scanner with the slide button or lever underneath the scanner. You do not need to use the software that comes with the scanner. Look on their web site for the drivers. After you find the drivers on the web site, extract them to a folder. Then connect the scanner and turn it on. The wizard will come up and you will have to point to the folder where you put the software. Than the software should run itself for you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shelley L. Subject: [bksvol-discuss] New scanner

I got a windfall,

and want to order the Plextech 3600 Book edge scanner.

When it comes, what do I need to be aware of in order for it to work well with Kurzweil.

I have a Epson 1660 who has worked very well for several years, but... you know that eventually the great little workhorse is going to die.

So Just wondering. Am comparision shopping today for it.

America has been called a melting pot, but it seems better to call it a mosaic, for in it each nation, people or race which has come to its shores has been privileged to keep its individuality, contributing at the same time its share to the unified pattern of a new nation. -King Baudouin of Belgium (1930-1993)
